Vazgen Grigoryan, Partner and Head of the Dispute Resolution practice at Kosta Legal, participated in the “Anatomy of a Cross-Border Dispute” conference organized by ICC Russia on 21 September 2026 as part of the Russian International Arbitration Congress (RIAC) 2026.
Vazgen’s presentation focused on Uzbekistan as a jurisdiction for supporting international arbitration and the subsequent enforcement of arbitral awards. He discussed the legal framework for international commercial arbitration in Uzbekistan, the role of Uzbek courts in supporting arbitral proceedings and granting interim measures, as well as current enforcement practice and the developing framework of the Tashkent International Commercial Court.
The conference addressed key aspects of cross-border disputes, including investment protection, sanctions-related disputes, the conduct of arbitral proceedings and the choice of enforcement jurisdiction.
