Kosta Legal at the Belt and Road Summit 2026

Shukhrat Yunusov, Partner and Head of Banking and Finance at Kosta Legal, spoke at the 11th Belt and Road Summit in Hong Kong, held on 9–10 September 2026. Shukhrat participated in the thematic session “Silk Road Steppe Pact: Legal Innovation Powering Central Asia’s BRI Trade, Legal Infrastructure Development and Cross-Border Dispute Resolution”, organised in collaboration with The Law Society of Hong Kong.

His presentation focused on the development of the Tashkent International Financial Centre, including its legal and institutional framework, the role of English law within the Centre and opportunities for cooperation between Uzbekistan and Hong Kong. The session was chaired by Roden Tong, President of The Law Society of Hong Kong, and brought together senior legal practitioners to discuss the development of Central Asia’s legal infrastructure, cross-border trade and investment, and dispute resolution.
