Azizbek Akhmadjonov speaks at the Interim Session of the Foreign Investors Council under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan

On November 19, our partner Azizbek Akhmadjonov and associate Iroda Tokhirova participated in the Interim Session of the Foreign Investors Council under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, chaired by the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the EBRD.

In his capacity as co-lead of the Interagency Working Group on improving land allocation procedures for investors established under Resolution No. PP-226, Azizbek presented key updates on the Group’s work and outlined priority areas for the next phase of reforms.

Drawing on the Working Group’s consolidated “nine-proposal” package, he outlined measures to establish a unified, transparent land allocation process for investment and PPP projects, creating a single, predictable pathway from project initiation through to state registration of rights.

The session brought together more than 200 participants, including representatives of over 100 foreign companies and international financial institutions operating in Uzbekistan, as well as senior officials from the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Central Bank, the Cadastre Agency and the Tax Committee.
