We are pleased to announce that Kosta Legal, led by partner Nail Hassanov, with support from senior associates Aliye Ablyalimova and Jakhongir Olimjonov, has successfully advised AMEA Power, one of the fastest growing renewable energy companies in the region, on key agreements for renewable energy projects in Uzbekistan.

In collaboration with Norton Rose Fulbright’s London office, our team provided support on the Investment Agreement for a 1GW wind project located in Karakalpakstan and on the Investment Agreement and Battery Storage Service Agreement (BSSA) for a standalone 300MWh BESS project. The agreements were executed during the recent official visit of H.E. Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Uzbekistan, to the United Arab Emirates. The wind project will produce 3.84 TWh/year and offset emissions by 2.2 million MtCO2/year once commissioned.

Partner Nail Hassanov commented: "It is our privilege to support AMEA Power in these projects, which represent another significant step in the company’s efforts to advance sustainable energy and expand operations in Uzbekistan. We are committed to providing comprehensive legal support for complex, large-scale infrastructure projects in our country".
