New public procurement reforms in Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan has introduced new reforms to its public procurement framework (Presidential Decree dated 4 February 2026).

The changes include the establishment of the Agency for Industrial Cooperation and Public Procurement, mandatory certification of procurement specialists, a supplier reliability rating system on the procurement portal, and price preferences for domestic manufacturers.
